SAM WALCOTT

Sam Walcott received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Cornell University in 2001, and his PhD. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, also from Cornell University, in 2006. He did postdoctoral work in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics in the Warshaw Lab at the University of Vermont from 2006-2008. He had a second postdoc position in Mechanical Engineering in the Sun Lab at Johns Hopkins University from 2008-2011. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of California Davis from 2011-2015, and an Associate Professor there until 2019. Since 2019, he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Massachusetts and is currently also Associate Program Director of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
